Cherokee, North Carolina - Fall Fishing Trip

Join us for a weekend of trout fishing in Cherokee, NC!

The area offers a wide variety of fishing opportunities from the Tuckaseegee, Nantahala, and Cherokee Tribal Waters (30 miles of stocked trout waters, 2.2 miles of fly fishing only catch & release trophy waters, 3 ponds and 450,000+ stocked fish per year by the tribal owned hatchery).

We've teamed up with Rivers Edge Outfitters in Cherokee to help plan the trip. If you would like a guide, please book sooner than later! Guides through the shop are booking quickly so give them a call at 828-497-9300.

Cherokee, NC Fishing Details

Dates: Thursday, November 7th - Sunday, November 10th. 

Travel: Cherokee is located 150 miles from Alpharetta. The drive should take about 2 hours and 45 minutes. To coordinate carpooling opportunities, contact Connor Reynolds at President@ucctu.org for a list of all the members going on the trip.

Lodging: We have reserved rooms at Great Smokies Inn in Cherokee, NC. The hotel was recommended by Rivers Edge Outfitters and includes a discount rate. The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from the Rivers Edge Outfitters shop in Cherokee. Each room features two queen-sized beds and will accommodate two people per room. 

Lodging Cost: The total cost per person is $180 and and we have 8 rooms reserved for a total of 16 people. Once these spaces are filled, you can still go, however you’ll need to make your own lodging reservations. The phone number for Great Smokies Inn is (828) 497-2020.
